Please Help Me In My Fundraising Efforts!

I have just registered to walk with Chase in the 20th Annual Wiggle Waggle Walkathon in support of the Hamilton/Burlington SPCA!

All of the proceeds for the walk go towards food, medical supplies and spay/neuter of animals at the shelter. :thumbs up

The SPCA is not to be confused with Hamilton Animal Control - the SPCA is no-kill and they have an excellent "Meet Your Match" adoption program to try and pair the right pet with the right family.

My personal fundraising page can be found here:

http://my.e2rm.com/personalPage.aspx?registrationID=692641

Any donation, however small, would be greatly appreciated to help Chase and I reach our goal. You'll receive a tax receipt for any donation over $10.00.

Thank you so much to anyone who can help us out!

*bump*......

If anyone is willing to sponsor a small amount I would really appreciate it. An article ran in the Hamilton Spectator today regarding the work the SPCA is trying to do to house cats so that animal control doesn't put them to sleep.....but the SPCA is beyond capacity and no one is adopting

The support is very much needed.

I believe so....you just wouldn't get the tax receipt I think. I can e-mail the fundraising coordinator and ask if you'd like? :)

I want to give a huge heartfelt thank-you to "M.P."....I don't know who you are, so I can only guess that this generous donation is from a Pets.ca member. Thank you so much for your support! :grouphug: And please send me a PM so I can figure out who this mystery donor is (Though I'll keep it to myself if you prefer.)

(I really hope this isn't someone's name I actually know and have forgotten.....my brain is bad for things like that. :o)

Chase Mom,

I would like to make a donation, unfortunately it won't be much but I can afford $20.00.
Could you PM me with an address to send the cheque and to whom it should be addressed to please.

Just want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has given me a pledge! I'm pretty sure between some very generous pets.ca members and my family Chase and I will be exceeding our goal! :highfive:

I promise to post lots of cute doggy pics from the event in September!

So my original goal was $200.....I am now at $255, in good part thanks to some generous pets.ca members :highfive:

Therefore, I've raised my goal to $500, and still have a little over a month to meet it!

Thank you to those who have already donated! If anyone is still interested, please visit my personal fundraising page at:

http://my.e2rm.com/personalPage.aspx?registrationID=692641

For any American members who are interested, I've been told that if you sponsor me with a credit card through my page the funds will automatically be converted into Canadian $, but you won't get a tax receipt.

Thanks again for all your support! :thumbs up

Oh that's great! I noticed is the end date September 13th? If so, I can certainly make a donation next payday. :D

How are your donations coming???

Have You made your goal yet?

Chaser

Not yet....I've raised $300, and have the promise of a few more donations. DH-to-be and I will probably be adding a good donation in there to meet the $500 goal.

Times are so hard right now....the SPCA has only raised about 16% of what they got last year

Well the walk is tomorrow!!!! :thumbs up

I've raised $375, so it doesn't look like I'll be able to meet my goal of $500  But it's still a good chunk of money that I'm sure will help quite a few animals.

Thank you again to all the members who donated - most of my support came from you guys! Sadly, people who don't really love animals are very reluctant to part with even $10 these days. I couldn't have raised what I did without the support of so many of the great members here! :highfive:

If anyone lives in the Hamilton area and wants to come down to Bayfront Park to check out all the dogs and some of the vendors, please say hello if you see us! Chase is pretty easy to spot, thanks to his ears, and he'll also be wearing a blue paw-print bandana. :) We'll be there at about 9 a.m.

I'll ask DH-to-be to take some pictures of the event for me to post for you guys after the walk.
