onster July 9th, 2009, 11:06 PM I dunno if i should be  or :) ...
Bunduk has calmed down significantly in the last few weeks. When i go out into the yard with him he goes under his fav tree (the one he once climbed ) and sits in the shade pretty much all the time. Even if i go out an hour or so b4 sunset (not hot anymore) he stays under the tree mostly. Ironically this sudden maturity coincided with me finally fixing the gaps in the fence  He'll stroll over for pets sometimes or chase a butterfly, then back to the shade.
Yesterday I caught him trying to rub his face on this metal brush and tho last time i tried he had nothing to do with it i figured id try a good brushing. Wouldn't you know, the boy got all into it!! Today he sat down on my mom's lap for a good brushing with it too...for 20 minutes!!
Bunduk. Sat. Down. On. Lap. Squirmy, lemme go i have tooo many things to nom , bunduk!!!!!
Should I check him for a temperature??
Who wants to place bets now that he's just saving up his energy for some surprise attack of pure bunduk destruction?
TacoGrl July 9th, 2009, 11:10 PM There HAS to be something more to this...Bunduk MUST be plotting some surprise attack...catch you when you least expect it...perhaps he needed his fur thinned for aerodynamics
onster July 9th, 2009, 11:16 PM LOL ..with bunduk, that could be entirely possible TG!!!
honestly its very very weird...bunduk hasnt done anything 'bad' for quite a while. Wellll...not suuper bad anyways. Last night I woke up to cold water all over my left boob and arm :rolleyes: Mr. Bunduk wanted to drink out of the cup on the night table. Mr bunduk doesnt drink out his his bowls, or even his special cup in the shower. Oh no. Mr. Bunduk is unsatisfied with the low level of water and annoyed that his slave did not wake up and tilt the cup for him to drink (as she usually does). Mr Bunduk expertly swats the cup so that all the contents fly onto onster and the bed, leaving just enough of a puddle on the table for him to drink. The cup hits the metal frame on the bed and shatters.
Onster wakes up, pets Mr. Museeba (disaster), squishes herself to the right side of the bed, stuff some tissue in the left side of her shirt for drying purposes and promptly goes back to bed :crazy:
edwina July 10th, 2009, 01:25 AM :laughing::laughing: I have one of those. :D
Love4himies July 10th, 2009, 07:06 AM He is pondering right now, it is the calm before the storm  .
Good luck with his looming adventure, onster :p
krdahmer July 10th, 2009, 07:11 AM  He's not calming down in his older age.....he's becoming 'selectively destructive'!:lovestruck: And onster, that is why I have changed over to a sport bottle beside the bed....too many wet wake up calls!!!!
ancientgirl July 10th, 2009, 08:33 AM Have you ever heard the phrase, "The calm before the storm?"

so were all in agreement I better brace myself :eek:
14+kitties July 10th, 2009, 09:52 PM Hmm, didn't Bunduk used to be the one who got up on the banisters and scare the bejeebers out of you? And now isn't it Onnie that is doing it?
:lightbulb: Mind transference! Bunduk put his mind into Onnie's head and is forcing Onnie to do his evil deeds for him!! :thumbs up
 Ok, so maybe he is just slowing down a tad because he is getting a wee bit older.
onster July 10th, 2009, 09:58 PM LOOOL 14+ im laughing because I honestly was thinking just that!!!
Onnie is the one who gives me trouble these days!! Its like they had a personality transplant. Outside its now me always running after Onnie to get him back inside etc...bunduk walks over to me! And yes Bunduk used to jump on the banisters...he fell off twice :o
I'm kinda sad that bunduk is maturing  I mean ok i complained about his antics but he spiced things up around here :D I honestly thought he was sick for a while, but he's behaving normal otherwise (eating drinking pooping purring etc). Its like he's suddenly an old man :(
onster July 10th, 2009, 10:01 PM can u guys believe he hasnt even nommed anything in recent memory?????
..........he's messing with my miiiiiind

hazelrunpack July 11th, 2009, 10:00 AM Setters go through something similar that we've half-seriously dubbed SSMS - Sudden Setter Maturity Syndrome. It's that evolution from a Puppy-with-delusions-of-world-domination to Couch-potato that's pretty common among setters. They fake me out every time, though--I'm sure that when they suddenly experience SSMS, they're sick. :o So I go through the blood test / urine test thing, only to have the vets laugh at me.
So, and take this with a grain of salt, considering the source: Has Bunduk had any bloodwork/urinalyses done lately? :o
 I know...hazel is paranoid!! But it's madam hazel's fault! She sees  at every turn! :p
This is why our vets love us so!
