Good Morning everyone!

I can't believe that I've hadn't visited this great board sooner!!

I'm Tracey. I have a 9 yr old Sheltie - Misty, a 2 year old N.S. Duck Tolling Retreiver - Cookie, a 9 year old orange bag of fur - Kenny and currently 8 foster cats (7 kittens, one slightly feral mom).

I look forward to participating on the board. I'm quite excited its Canadian!
:)

Hallo Cflat! I'd introduce myself, but I think you know me pretty well... and my name and pets are in my signature... haha...

I'm not even Canadian, but that's okay, I can pretend!

Hi there and welcome! Nice thing you're doing with the kitties. I fostered a litter of kittens with a feral mom too!

Do you have pics?? :D

I will post their pics but I need to figure out how to do it here!

What did you do with your feral mom? Was she spayed and released (TNR) or was she able to be tamed.

I'm tossed what to do about her. She is coming around and I think she will moreso when the kittens go back to the shelter for adoption. I want to make sure that I can make the committment for the winter since I don't want to get to October and find that she will never be adoptable. Can't release her so close to winter. Its my first time with this. PLUS I have a hub that keeps saying "you said 3 weeks, its been 5". The kittens got ringworm that we had to treat. SO SO SO MUCH FUN!! :p

I have ringworm on my arm, but it's going away... I got it from volunteering with the sick little kittens! :p :D

What did you do with your feral mom?

After the kittens were adopted, I started working with her, but she was difficult - extremely skittish and jumpy.

Miraculously, she got adopted at one of our adoption events by a wonderful couple who didn't care if she was still semi-feral. :D

We never release feral cats unless they are too wild and aggressive to tame, and they must have warm shelter. We try and get them barn homes.

I have another feral momma here now. I tamed and adopted out HER kittens, but she is still unadoptable so she will stay here.

IF you want to tame this cat but aren't sure how to do it, let me know and I'll PM you!:)

WELCOME! This is a terrific place- you'll love it!

Ok, now what's with all this "monkey" talk?

*rolls eyes*

The "gorilla" or "monkey" is the Petfinder message board Administrator (aka PetAdmin). He/She/It is getting WAY out of control. One ex-member, KMBWolf, if someone says her username in the forum it will be changed to "SPAM". She says they completely lied about her on a public forum.

Cflat and I got our PM (private messaging) taken away yesterday night because we were talking about going to another forum! We got it back this morning, but Cflat's thread (Admin why was my PM taken away??) was deleted!!

All the "regulars" are either leaving or getting deleted by Admin. It's almost like they changed people as Admin. It's no fun anymore and getting way out of hand. That's why we're here! Cflat and I are spreading the word as discreetly as we can on Petfinder that we're here!

I was fine, but I have a sis who is water logged beyond belief. The "stuff" at the curb the week or two after was incredible to behold. I live on the river and was spared! Truly a miracle.

Man you're lucky! There was a whole lotta positive vibes around your home.

It was unbelievable. Did u go to the concert?

Cflat
August 14th, 2004, 09:42 PM
:o Nope. Not really a concert person. I love the Hawk and all and LOVE Gordon Lightfoot but didn't go.....

Now if it were for pets..... I'd be there if it were operatta.
