Boxer sits on Labrador

Just curious, our 3 year old boxer Daisy never sits or lies on the ground she will sometimes sit on the day bedif Ben our lab is in his kennel. She always sits on Ben. We've always thought it was pretty cute as Ben just gets this look of resignation on his face. But Ben's 10 now and having quite a few health problems he never complains but I feel sorry for him he doesn't get a minutes peace. We can't separate them as the both fret without each other. Even when Ben had to stay at the Vets for a few days we had to take Daisy to visit. (Was the best medicine for Ben too, he perked up the minute he saw her). Is this a Boxer trait Daisy's our first boxer? On another note the Jack Russell from next door got in to our yard the other day and was attacking Ben in his kennel. Daisy to the rescue she sat on its head until we got there!

I don't know that it is a Boxer trait, but it does sound as though Daisy is being quite dominant. By thinking it was cute you quite likely reinforced the behaviour. I would start correcting Daisy with a firm NO and redirecting her to sit elsewhere and not on poor Ben! :)
