Yesterday was Keeper's 11th birthday and today is her 10th Gotcha Day.
Keeper was ironically named by her former owners and we kept it when she joined us at one year of age. Abby was also one at the time.
Today, Keeper celebrated with Abby up on Elbow Pass, about 7,000 feet I think up in Kananaskis Country, Alberta. This was a surprisingly brisk day in this place, windy and a temperature at this time at about 8 celcius, although warming up a bit on the way back.

Below, Keeper chills out in a small stream. This is a brisk, straight up walk for a short ways then surprisingly flat. Keeper could actually walk home to her acreage on the prairie on this path, looking east here, where it eventually emerges our side of the Rockies. I think it's about a 20 or 25 km hike to the trail-head and then, well, a bit further to the house!!

Below, sharing adventures for a decade now, Keeper and Abby. Keeper is getting stronger now that her chemo is over with.
