I was saddened when I heard the news today . I not only thought she was awesome when I was a young girl (I remember asking a hairdresser for a 'Farah' hairstyle with my short hair when I was 7 ), but sharing her battle with cancer really touched me. I don't remember where and when exactly but, in an interview, she mentioned that she viewed bad times as a learning experience, an opportunity to ensure a good outcome from something negative. She was so 'real' and had such an optimistic outlook on life. She will be missed.

RIP Farrah :candle:

I too was saddened to hear about Farrah's passing. Such a beautiful, loving woman, and her ability to be so open about her battle with cancer.
I am far more saddened by her death than Michael Jackson's, and I think it's unfortunate that CNN and HLN have barely mentioned her and have put most of their focus on Jackson.

I always thought Farrah was an awesome actress - I know the movie critics didn't seem to think so but she was great in "The Burning Bed" and "Small Sacrifices".

I read an article about how she had never planned for her cancer to be public knowledge, but an employee at the hospital she went to released a bunch of celebrity medical records to a tabloid for cash and hers was one of them. Farrah actually participated in a sting operation to catch the person and then filmed a documentary about her cancer to give the real story.

She was very brave and I hope she is at peace.

Yes, she was a great lady. I was very saddened by the news of her passing. Too bad it has taken a back burner to Michael Jackson's death.

I remember her in the early years and always admired her beauty. Her hair was soooo popular in our school - but no one wore it as well as Farrah.

I liked her so much that I named my persian cat after her.

RIP Farrah. :rip: You were loved and respected.

I was not a great fan of Charlies Angels, but I saw Farrah in The burning Bed and The Dollmaker and she was a great actress.
I felt really sad knowing she had died, but at the same time glad she's no more in pain.
Her documentary was really emotional and showed a lady with great hope and strength.
:rip:wonderful brave Farrah
