Winston I love Clematis, yours is truly a beautiful color and the flower itself is pretty. There are so many different colors and types of flowers. Do you know? Do they grow on a south facing wall? pbp

Ohhhh, your garden is so colorful! I love flowers but I do not have a green thumb or even a mildly green thumb so when I see other gardens I appreciate the work that goes into making them as pretty as they can be. Thank you for sharing with us. pbp

it keeps me really busy! now that we had a few days of rainy weather the weeds are taking over!

As for the gardening I just learned as I went along..I move things all the time! things have been all over my garden...as things grow and get big I split em and move me or make the smaller ....

Thanks for the comments :thumbs up

Awesome Pics Winston. :thumbs up

Love the variety and especially love the pics of Winston. :thumbs up

I tried to grow White Henry Clematis (3 times over) and just wouldn't take in the spot I wanted it in.

Wow I really admire your garden! I've started gardening for the first time this year and my method has been: pick two colours, plunk some flowers of those two colours into the ground....and hope they don't die. So far so good

Winston looks so happy!!! What a sweetheart :lovestruck:

Thanks! thats how I started except I was buying annuals and spending a fortune!~ Now I buy perennials, trade them, split them you name it!

I have tried to stick to one color and I just cant do it! there are so many perenials that are purple though!

Winston says thanks! not bad for an old guy! :thumbs up

Winston, I love the candy stripe Clematis! At least I think that's the cultivar, I had Candy Stripe and it was beautiful until...my grandfather decided to move it because he thought it was blocking the hydro meter! He planted it in full sun with no shade at its "feet" and, needless to say, it died

I hate when people touch my garden! :yell: I'm such a control freak, lol

Winston is so handsome!

Little tip on the Lupins, after they finish flowering on those stalks, cut the stalks all the way down to the base. With luck, it will flower again. :D

I wish I could grow some Clematis, but have nothing for them to climb on. Any climbing apparatus I have is destined for veggies.

How tall are your blue/white Columbines? I have some that look just like those, but only they are dwarf and dwarf hybrids just disappear in my flower beds because everything else is tall.

Seems several gardening members are in Ontario. You guys should set up your own little plant trading club! I tried to get one set up in my local area but no one seemed interested. I'm just dying to get a hold of a black Elderberry bush and some wild currants.

Hi
I love your gardens and your clematis are beautiful! I only have the Jackamannis here. It's a bit hard to grow them in my zone 2. I also have hostas...tons of hostas. things are just starting to come up in my yard. The trees are blooming, but that's about all for now. I mean it is only June!

Winston is such a cutie pie and he has a nice big yard to play in too!
