Calming techniques?

Willow was spayed on Monday. Her vet told us we need to keep her calm, no running/jumping/bouncing/stairs etc for 10 days. Well, Willow is anything but calm and shes racing around like a mad fool happy as can be as if nothing ever happened.

My question, do you know of any 'calming' techniques besides taping her butt to the floor or caging her? I *hate* cages, and even the vet didnt have the heart to put her in one so she got to sit on the receptionists lap all day. If you have any ideas at all that would be wonderful!!

Thank you!
