A dog in motion

otter

... will do whatever it can to remain in motion

We had our first visit to my favourite beach yesterday. I'm still not confident enough to let Nolie off leash so we played with a long line (45ft) which was pretty good except for a couple of times when I just about lost my fingers cause I had the bright idea to grab the rope mid zooomie (now I know why they say in long line training, when the dog is dragging the line NEVER grab the rope, even if you are tempted ;))

So...
There was RUNNING

Then SPLASHING

DASHING

PAWING (at undersea monsters, aka submerged logs)

FLYING

can't forget BRAKING

and in a moment of calm, even a moment for SNIFFING

it was a beautiful evening, seeming like spring was actually here :thumbs up but, Nolie managed to find some signs of our lingering winter :frustrated:

(and OMG a moment ago it was snowing again :yell:)

Nolie is doing great and I can't wait to let her crazy zoomies have their way with the world someday (when she can be off leash), for now, i'm getting a good workout and we are doing the best we can to keep everyone entertained :cloud9: It is so hard to take pictures though, she is a bit of a handful and I have to give her 100% of my attention or risk being caught up in a zoomie and being dragged off down the beach

Great pics, otter! :cloud9: And a wonderful illustration of the First Law of Canine Motion!

Methinks Nolie likes her new neighborhood! But Mom needs a good sturdy pair of rope-grabbing gloves. :p

Um, do I want to know what the second law is??? or do I have to figure it out for myself?

Gloves you say, hmmm, probably a good idea :thumbs up Maybe I need to learn to lasso, then we could forgo the leash

The Second Law of Canine Motion states that the amount of force on Mom's arm as she attempts to grab the rope is equal to the mass of the Canine times said Canine's acceleration.

The Third states that Mom's arm exerts an equal but opposite force upon the Canine unless said Canine is in the process of pulling said Mom across the beach. :D

OMG :cloud9::cloud9::cloud9: She is just perfectly adorable. Her face is so intense too!!!

She really must feel like she is in heaven and I have a feeling Mum has a long missing smile on her face on the other side of the camera. ;)

Looks like she is going to keep you on your toes for a good long time. :thumbs up
