Hi there

Well I have a problem... I have took one of my female dogs pups from her last litter. I already have the father and the brother from the first litter.....

Now the father is fixed but the brother (Tubby) will not stop humping her (Bella)
I have put a pull up and a pair of shorts on Bella. To stop it

I have to wait to the middle of next month to get tubby fixed... I just can't afford it now and the vet now want the payment up front.

I got the father fixed in January and didn't have to pay up front but now they have change there minds.....

I would like to know if anyone has any information about free clinic in the london area. Also if any one has any idea on stopping Tubby from humping his sister...... Doggie Condoms??????????:):shrug::shrug::shrug:

Cats here, but my Seth is humping my Messina and both are fixed! :frustrated: Seth had been fixed for over a year when I got him. From what I have researched, it is a natural thing to do and as with humans, some animals just have a higher drive...plus, yours aren't fixed yet. This humping thing seems to be wearing off for Seth though (guess having it around every day is getting boring for the goofy teenage boy )...perhaps you will be lucky and Tubby will stop when he is fixed

I know, not much help here, just showing support that you are not alone :grouphug:

One big idea is to get the sister fixed. Then it doesn't matter if Tubby is humping her. Not to be rude but I think that was our suggestion the last time you asked this.

I agree with 14+. My advice had not changed from my last post to this matter. Your current vet is unwilling to do it? find one that will take payments...

Also, maybe its just me, but I thought you said in the first post that both males were not neutered?? And that your female was in heat?

If your willing to drive then book an appointment with

Spay and Neuter Central

Just google it or search for the thread here and there is a link posted with information. Prices are the best you will find and it will solve the problem. Heck you could probably get both fixed for the amount it would cost to do 1 of them at a regular vets office :thumbs up

Good Luck

hmm... I remember the suggestions last time.. You didn't have the female yet because the males were fighting and neither were fixed correct? Are they no longer fighting? I STILL think Both males and the female should be fixed, sorry but that is part of owning a dog, and a VERY small responsibility if you are breeding dogs like you have been.

Point taken.

Yes I know that they need to be fixed. I just wanted to see if there was anything else that I can try......

The Father is fixed. He has been fixed since Jan 08......

I have the mother and father of the pups.... But when mom pasted away I know that Tubby wasn't getting the care that he needed. So That is why I have him. Now with Bella, She couldn't stay with her owner any longer and she had two small children and isn't moving now. As she was moving into a bigger house with a back yard,. Sadly that fell thru and She knew that Bella looked so much like her mother. I couldn't say no....

I had no other choice. I didn't want either dog to go to the pound. So I took them.

Where is the spay and Neuter clinic? I have called all places in London area. None will take payments.

Now I booked the appointment for June. Now the spay and Neuter clinic wants to have a Credit Card. I never needed one in January. I need to call tomorrow and try to see what that has changed since the last time Charlie was fixed.

Any suggestion would be greatly appreacated:thumbs up

:sorry: JUSt to clarify. I didn't see this post..
Charlie (The Father) is Fixed. He was fixed in Jan 2009. Before my female dog was put down. in March

Tubby and Bella have the same mother and father.
The first litter was an accident!!!! I tried to breed Jasmin before to stupidly have another pet. I found that she couldn't get pregnant as told by VET.

We rescued Charlie from a kijiji ad. Jaz and Charlie got along right away. Jazz had a few heats and nothing had happened. So we assumed that the Vet was correct. We were planning on fixing Charlie as he was very hyper.

Then in Christmas of 07" Jazz started to look pregnant. I took her to the Vet ( As I'm a responsible pet owner. Then we found out that she was going to have pups soon.

Tubby's litter was born in Feb 08. She had 12 pups one died. I found homes for EVERY pup. I have only lost contact with only three puppies to date.

Then When Jazz came into her next heat. It was too late to fix her. The Vet Stated that she was in GREAT health and safe to have another litter.
Six out of the eight families that got a pup from me wanted a second one. As they were so happy with their addition to there family. I know now that I have done things wrong. And it breaks my heart to think that I may have an a longer time with Jazz....... Please don't get me wrong here. I love my pets and I would do anything for them. I wish money grow on trees and no surprise would happen. As something always comes up.

I paid for all shots, Deworming, heart worm. Everything that was needed the pups got. I had all pups until they were NINE weeks old.

Now four families got another dog and some were my family members. Sadly Tubby was one that didn't get a great home. He just didn't have time for him and didn't really know what he was getting himself into when he got Tubby.

After Jazz was put to sleep. I know that Tubby needed to get out and enjoy life. I know that I was able to take him. As this point I didn't know about Bella. Charlie was already fixed. Charlie took Jazz's death really hard. as so did I. I had never stop thinking about her.

Now that my friend couldn't keep Bella. and she looked so much like Jazz. I can't see her go to the pound. I knew that she wanted to give her back to me. I don't want to see Bella get pregnant. I will not let it happen. Tubby is in the back of my house and bella is with Charlie. Charlie still wants to breed with her. I don't know if he think that it is Jazz. But she doesn't let him anyway. I will get Tubby fixed right away. As soon as I have the money. Now that they want a CC. I don't know what I will do.

My main question was that if this fighting would even stop. Or if it is going to be a on going problem. Thats ALL.

As That is my main issue. My hubby doesn't want me to keep them all= But I don't care. I know that as long as they are happy and not fighting then all should be good.

I just wanted to see if there was anything that I can do. I didn't want a big discussion about breeding dogs. I know that it isn't the Best for them. I have recsue all my animals. Most of the pups from my litters are fixed already.

I wish that I could reach in my back pocket and pull out the money to help and take in every animal. But I do the best I can.

So again my main question is. It is possible to have two male and a female live happy together. Well dominance still be an issue. I know that all should be fixed but money wise that may not be an option for a while. As Im the only one working.
Please help me out.

also Just to add the pups are coming back as I fell it is right for me to have them or find a better home for them. Also as I want to keep in contact with all the owners. I have a Facebook account for my litters and we go to the dog park for family reunions. I

neither one is sick or have any problems. All my pups are really healthy with no health problems at all.

I took Tubby back as I felt that he was being mistreated. There is not many ppl that would even think of doing that. I can't get over all the ppl on Kijiji. Selling pups or animals. It broke my heart to let the pups go. I cried when each one left. I see most of them and get updates on almost all of them.

Now that Jazz is gone. I feel more responsible for her pups as i don't want any of them mistreated. I inform all the owner before the got the dog that I wanted to stay in contact with them and they needed to be added to my facebook account.

A dog's humping habit can be pretty disturbing. Follow these steps to get the dog to dismount and calm down.

1) Wait it out. For many younger canines, humping is part of a developmental phase that's fueled by hormonal changes and plain old growth. Both male and female dogs exhibit humping behavior since mounting is a natural sign of dominance assertion with canines. Keep the dog away from guests for 2 months to see if the behavior passes.

2) Take the dog out. In most cases, humping results from stress or aggression, especially if the dog has contact with other canines. Take your dog out for at least one long, strenuous walk and play time each day. Set aside enough time for the dog to tire before you stop the exercise session. This will help release his aggression and alleviate his stress.

3) Consider neutering. Male dogs that hump may have increased testosterone levels. Studies have found that neutering stops humping in 60 percent of the cases.

4) See the vet. In some cases, humping is caused by hormone imbalances that may indicate serious conditions, such as hypothyroidism. If this doesn't work then your next stop is a canine behavioral specialist, who can train the dog to stop the behavior.

I wish you luck getting your pets spayed and neutered, I'm sure it will be a relief.

What actually brought me to this forum was a humping incident with my year old chug Romeo :lightbulb: A few weeks ago, (bear in mind he was neutered October 24 2008) he decided to get very friendly with a stuffed donkey I have, it was bigger than him. It made me chuckle a bit, but I didn't think much of it. I took my eyes off him for a minute and the next time I looked I thought he was having a seizure. He was drooling, his erection was waving around and he could barely stand, or so it looked to me! I was TERRIFIED!!!! But with the support of my son (who figured Romeo probably just had the time of his life), I managed to wait out the next 1/2 hour or so and he was right as rain again, thirsty and tired lol. Please understand that he never lost consciousness or keeled over or worse, it was just me trying to take this scene in all at once, and my mind expected the worst. I called the vet the next day and while he said that probably wasn't the most common reaction, the fact that he couldn't complete the act appropriately caused a little more stimulation (and frustration) than he could handle for his "first" time. Needless to say, the donkey has been stored in a safe area and that has never occurred again. ;) Soooo, I guess neutered pups can also get a little carried away given the right circumstances. He hasn't even made a humping motion since that day :fingerscr

The funnier part of all this was that I arrived here looking for information about that and found so much other stuff to read I decided to stay and I never even told the story until NOW.

So thanks for starting this thread, now I can share it. :)

Not a problem.....

My pups are doing GREAT. They are learning. Planning to get them fixed asap.... Found a great site from info from here. This is a great place to find out new information. You just sometimes need to weed out the upsetting comments.

Things are coming together. Tubby is acting like a DOG!!! now. He knows now that he only go in the cage in the night or when he is bad. (still chews alot.) I can never get enough bones for him..... Need to get him to like his cong that I got for him. I put Peanut butter and cheese spray in it. He eats the stuff out and then doesn't want to play with it. He loves to chew. I get the really big bone form the local flea Market. He loves them...... He loves going on walks and being out of the Cage. When it gets late he goes and gets into his cage with out me even asking him to..... He feels better I guess. He know that is his place. He gets a little upset when I put Bella in there it she misbehaves. As she is REALLY Bad is ppl food. When ever anyone is eating. As she lived with a women with little children that loved to feed her. She is really great with them as she would never take out of their hands. She just bags and waits for food to drop. My hubby and I can't stand beggin DOgs.... They shouldn't be near you when you are eating...... So if she listens and goes and get on her blanket then she can stay out. If she doesn't listen, then she got in the cage. Then Tubby goes up to the cage and gets upset that she is in there.

I love my dogs soooo much but it still makes me really sad as Bella looks soooo much like JAsmin......

Couple of things are very worrying to me. First off - I noticed you said you could "even get your cat fixed". In your signature I notice you listed three cats and two rabbits. Are any of them fixed? Cats can have up to three litters a year. I am sure you probably know that. So are you also having kittens being born? The cat overpopulation is completely out of hand. There are more cats being euthanized every year because there are no homes for them then there is dogs. And rabbits - we all know how they breed! Are you letting them mate too?

Other thing that is bothering me....... your comment on weeding out the upsetting comments. You do realize those comments only are upsetting because they hit too close to home? They are the truth. None were out and out rude. All we did was point out common sense information. It's up to you to act on it.

just wanted to add, that you shouldn't use a dog's kennel as punishment. It should be his bed, and safe place, too confusing also, they wont know if it is bedtime, or they are bad, or what..

I've only seen humping a couple of times and usually it's whenever I babysit someone else's dog in my home while they are on vacation.

I keep good watch always. If I see anything that looks like the beginning of humping I clap really loud to get their attention, followed by a sharp NO! Then make sure all doggies are good and tired from play and exercise. I've never really had a problem with it because I stop it before it even begins and redirect their energy.

That is what I have been doing..... They are coping very well.... Tubby knows that if he does it then he goes back into the cage/ Kitchen. As I only use the cage when we are going out or if he is bad.As this works best. He knows the difference. If it is for when he is going to bed or if it is when he is misbehaving. As he gets treats when he goes to bed or if we go out. I want to get rid of the cage altogether as he is getting way to big for it..... He is doing really good at not chewing and only chews when he is bored. So as long as he has his toys or something that he is allowed to chew then he is fine. I'm more scared of leaving him home and then having to deal with that he has done when I get back. As I have seen his work at my Brother in laws house. I wouldn't know what to do if he ate my couch....... That is why I kennel him. Just to make sure that he is safe and so is my furniture....LOL

Bella is a really great dog.... Everyone can see JAzz in her... We had a get together this weekend for my birthday. This was the first time that all the family and friends have been over since Jazz was put down.... You wouldn't believe all the ppl that called Bella Jasmin. It really hurt. I had to go into the house and cry. My best friend noticed and came in a talked to me.... I love Jazz so much. I'm so thankful that my friend gave Bella back to me.... It is funny how things work out and that things always happen for a reason.... I miss her soooooo much... I know that these dogs are to be with me... They are turning out to be great dogs. Charlie lets the other two know when he has had enough. He is still really jealous but that is understood. He is my baby. He is always allowed to come to bed with me. The other pups also get to but they never want to sleep. They want to play around and I can't get any sleep. Charlie is suck and just a lazy ass. He just wants to be with mommy all the time. Tho he is playing alot with the other two. That makes me really happy, he is being a dog now.....

Yes I also have a FEMALE CAT. Now that I have found the place were I can get them fixed for a great price then why not get her fixed also.....

For what I was going to have to pay for just Tubby to get fixed. Now I can get all the animals fixed and get all there shots up today as well.

As the other males are already FIXED!!!!:thumbs up
