More snow, more walking . . . . . some swimming

One of Abby and Keeper's favourite walks, along Chain Lakes in southwestern Alberta where an abundance of new snow greeted us . . . . . and it started to snow just as we were leaving too.

Below, chillin' with Abby . . . .

Beautiful dogs, beautiful pictures! Thanks for sharing. Are they from the same litter?

Abby, with the bone above, came to us as a puppy.

Keeper came to us as an owner surrender.

Both were one year old when they came together.

Both turn 11 this summer.

Their stories are at www.goldentales.ca

Winter storm watch for Calgary area for the next few days.

That swimming pic is just too bone-chillingly cold for hazel's taste! brrrrrrrrrrrr

Beautiful views, though. :cloud9:

So how long does Keeper rest before forging on ? :D

Keeper is becoming of an age and physical condition that there are days she would probably prefer staying home, lounging on the deck and barking at the noises and occasional passing coyote.

We are on "Keeper Time" on many walks but I'm good with stopping for awhile, like that photo, where I'm sitting on a rock.

Keeper was actually rolling in the snow to cool down. Abby does the same thing. It was fairly warm. When we got home, I went back out and ran 17 km in a t-shirt by Turner Valley. And now it's snowing again, huge wind and a winter storm warning for the next few days. Crazy place.

Abby and Keeper are the same age but Abby is an energizer bunny.

Looks like the girls are ready for summer with that swim, but at least the snow pack provides a soft spot to lay down for a nap after :D
