Does anyone know of any side effects of this? Is there is a limit to how many times one should clean a cat's chin with the solution in a 24hr period?

Is there is a limit to how many times one should clean a cat's chin with the solution in a 24hr period? How many times did the vet say to use it? I would be worried about causing excessive dryness and irritation if used too frequently. Another option would be a cotton pad dampened with colloidal silver, which has anti-bacterial properties and is completely non-stinging and non-drying. You could also put a dab of aloe vera gel (Lily of the Desert brand, which doesn't use sodium benzoate as a preservative) on her chin. Sometimes it's enough to just wash the chin with a warm washcloth after eating. Cats can have trouble cleaning their chins properly and the oily food residue is what causes the acne. TacoGrl April 10th, 2009, 12:51 PM The vet said to wash her once a a day, but the acne is so bad, I was wondering if once in the morning after breakfast and once at night after dinner might be ok? I just got the medicine yesterday and the vet isn't back until Tuesday to ask. I wash her chin with it and rinse it off taking a lot of black stuff with it. I was actually using the aloe vera prior to taking her to the vet cuz i already use it for so many things...it usually works miracles, but this acne seemed to only spread... Seth cleans her chin and she his...that is why I thought maybe the two infections had something to do with each other... totallyhip April 10th, 2009, 01:12 PM We used that when Luke had allergic reaction on his paw pads. They formed bumps that blistered and bled everytime he walked. It was great. We just put 1 pump in a bowl and add water and just rinsed his feet in it. I guess with your cat you have to use a face cloth. I didn't find any affects from it at all. It did help alot! chico2 April 10th, 2009, 04:23 PM Taco-girl,I used it on Vinnie and it only took about a week to go away.put it on only once/day. I am not sure if it was the same, forgot the name, but it was a bluish/green liquid. | ||||
