I was referred to this forum by a vet tech at the shelter I volunteer at. She said she used to work for one of the vets on here & he's great! I've fostered for MANY years now, but kind of felt over my head when my foster mom wasn't producing enough milk for the tiny kittens. So she pointed me here for the weekend. :)
Sorry to get off in a tangent.. I already posted in the health forum.. hope it was the right one.
I do live in the US though.. not sure how many US members you have. I live in Arizona. I have 4 cats & 1 dog.. all rescues from the shelter I'm part of. I used to have a cat that was nearly 20 & diabetic, but she passed away in Nov 07 from cancer. she was my soul mate, and I had her since she was a kitten. I still miss her. She was a big part of my life since I got her when I was 12.
Anyway, not sure what we're supposed to write here, but wanted to just say hi! I saw someone else's thread that seems like you guys like pics, so I'll try to post a few links here to my babies. :)
Here's Cuddles.. my soulmate that had to leave me:

Bandit, 9 yrs old, slight asthma & stomatitis.

Kami, 4 yrs old, was a foster of mine & adopted to be a buddy for Bandit.

Misha, 8 yrs old, pitty/greyhound mix I believe.. also a rescue. Acts more like a cat than a dog, and LOVES kitties!

Cher, 10 yrs old, rescued from no-kill shelter when they deemed her unadoptable & was going to put her to sleep. She was obese & not using her litterbox all the time. Returned to shelter 3 times. Signed her over to me, and she's lost 6 lbs so far on a canned food diet! No issues, and I love her so much!

Missy, 10 mos, felt that Cuddles sent her to me (foster) and I couldn't let her go! She acts SO much like Cuddles.. feels like I have a piece of her with me again.
