On the trail again

A friend and I went for a really nice 8-mile trip with the dogs yesterday. Not much snow left on the trails around here, but we drove a bit further north (not all that far surprisingly), and used a forest access road that's been groomed for snowmobiling all season.

Waiting to go

And they're off!

Holy flying footsies! We were moving pretty good.

My daughter enjoyed the trip from the sled basket.

Flurry found himself a friend to run with. Her name is Tease, my friend used my second sled with these 2 pulling it. Tease is her skijoring dog.

That sure does look like fun!! :D We have a lot of snowmobiling trails around here, but too much snowmobile traffic to want to use them for anything else....

I tend to stay away from the snowmobile trails normally. This time of year though most, if not all of the trails are officially closed for snowmobiles. Tomorrow I'm heading up to the dogsled trails in Algonquin Park, I hear that they're still in good shape. :thumbs up
