I'm sure everything will be okay. I've left all of mine overnight at the vet's also when they got spayed & neutered. At least for me, as I'm sure for you, it eased my worry a little knowing they'd be there and watched after surgery.

I'm glad he's doing well. When I had my gang done, I'd just go and visit them in the evening, to make sure they were okay, which of course they were. I felt bad leaving, they'd look at my like, "Hey, you aren't leaving me here are you?" But the next morning, I picked them up and they were fine. Mine all were sent home with pain medication also.

Its always good to hear that a surgery went well no matter if its a major one or a minor one. :) Are you sure there is going to be someone there overnight though? I know alot of vets like to keep spays overnight to watch (not su much neutering in my experience) and more then half of the time no one is there overnight with the animal which seems to be pointless to me.

I need to get one of mine in for his big snipity snip tis overdue...

I was thinking the same thing. Muggs was brought home the same night and when Fira was done in Dec, she was sent home that night. The vet told my SIL that she would be better at home with someone to watch her and he could meet her at the clinic in 10 mins. if there was a problem.

Glad his surgery went well, it's always nerve wracking when they have to have surgery.

They wouldn't keep Jag over night, because of his breed.they said he would be able to handle being away from his humans and with strangers.

King will be happy to see you tommorow when you pick him up at the vets.

Glad to hear the neuter went well, King! :thumbs up He won't remember most of today, anyway--side effect from the anesthesia--or at least that's how it often is with humans. :o He'll be happy to get home tomorrow, though!

:goodvibes: for a smooth recovery!

Thanks for doing the responsible thing by getting King fixed. :thumbs up
Funny some vets send pets home the same day, some the next. Most of my kitties were the same day, usually within hours of being done. The last one I had done by a different vet was overnight.

Max had his neuter today. It all went well and he is home. He is having a hard time sleeping with the cone over his head (understandable IMO) so I just let him out of his crate and I'm sitting here surfing the net while he tries to get comfortable in his bed in the kitchen. I don't think he's uncomfortable other than the cone. I guess we'll see in the morning. I'm going to try and sneak off to bed momentarily because all seems to be quiet for the moment.

It was a long night though. I don't think he is bothered by the surgery but he most definitely IS bothered by the cone. The kitchen didn't work much better than the crate because when he got up to move around of course he was still knocking into things. Finally, I came down and we both slept on the couch. I didn't want to bring him to bed because he has sleep issues anyway. He seemed to be able to get comfy snuggling with me on the couch but I sure don't want to do that for the next week!
