Sunlight and long shadows

I know you're not supposed to shoot into the sunlight, but the dogs were just having so much fun I had to take some shots. I was standing where some tree branches kind of filtered the sunlight so it wasn't shining directly into the camera. I think they turned out kind of neat, but I'm no photographer so what do I know?

Gail your dogs always look like they are having so much fun :lovestruck: What a great area to be able to take them off leash, stretch their legs & roam a little bit :cloud9:

They sure do look like they're enjoying themselves! :cloud9: Do they always stick that close together?

Our own personal little dog park :D I have 8 acres, about 50/50 bush and open field, plus I have the use of the adjacent 4 acres which is great. They're rarely ever on leash. Only time is if I'm taking them somewhere like to the vet or for a walk down the road, which I don't do very often. They get so much exercise running around here with me, plus all their training runs that we don't really don't do much on-leash walking anywhere.

They always stick pretty close to me, and certain ones stick close to each other. When we first go out to do chores some go into the chicken coop with me while others (Noah, Thunder and Flash, usually) wander up one of the trails into the bush to make their rounds. They don't go anywhere though, just to mark their favourite spots and come back and they always come tearing back as fast as they can if I call. Something interesting I've noticed is that sometimes the 4 border collies will separate from the other dogs into their own little pack. They'll run ahead and wait in a group for me to get to the coop and open it, or on the way back up to the house they'll often be ahead again waiting, all grouped up like in some of the pictures. Lightning is 1/2 BC, and Flash may also be part BC, but it's the 4 full BC's that will group up this way.
