If you stand in one place looking up long enough, everbody else does too, to see what you're staring at
What's that up there?

What? What is it? What do you see?

We were out walking around our trail Monday afternoon and I could hear the neighbour talking to her dogs so I said to Lightning, "what's that?" He started looking around, and then up and spotted an old tent caterpiller nest hanging in the tree. He kind of woofed and tried to stand up on his back legs to get closer and everybody else had to check it out too. Silly pups. It was an interesting walk, just after these pics were taken Thunder came out of the bush with something in his mouth and went trotting on ahead of us with his head held high like he had quite a prize. He wasn't acting like it was just a stick he was carrying, it was obviously something special. I caught up with him and asked him what he had and he put it down. A wing? I thought at first glance. No, not a wing, a foot. A webbed foot. A beaver foot. Huh, now where did that come from? Did he slip next door through the bush while I was taking pics and steal it from one of their dogs, if they had it first? Has somebody been trapping beaver and leaving carcasses somewhere? Did a passing crow or raven drop something they've scavenged? Is it leftovers from a coyote kill? Guess I'll never know. Odd
