So  Love those shots :D

Dog Dancer has a slightly different angle of the 2nd one in the This winter - well it sucks! thread, but that one doesn't show the lights on the Lions Gate Bridge peeking out from the fog :D

Love the last one :cool::cool:

My mum's gonna go http://foolstown.com/sm/obm.gif when I show her that one - she hates the Lions Gate Bridge absolutely refuses to drive over it - no matter what

Really . I used to really hate it but it is way less freaky since they redid all those repairs and widened it a few years back :thumbs up. We used to be able to see the open water at the bottom which scared me but now you don't see that. I was actually on the bridge today and there was an accident on the causeway so I had to sit and wait for a bit :frustrated:. The bridge is really quite "bouncy" when you are sitting still .

We used to be able to see the open water at the bottom which scared me.

 That's the reason she won't go over it  even after the repairs & she knows you can't see water anymore - not gonna happen I always bugger her about it, lets take the Lions Gate :p

The bridge is really quite "bouncy" when you are sitting still .

 Yikes  Hope it wasn't swaying side to side also

I love that first picture! It's amazing to see the fog sitting on top of the city like that! Freaky to drive through though.

We once drove through really thick fog in the mountains of West Virginia(I think it was)you could see nothing:yell:it was the scariest thing,we followed the lights of a tractor-trailer,it was like driving blind, really scary:yell:

Whoa! You do get fog, don't you! Makes for lovely pics! Around here there's no place to get high enough to see it from above... :p I love the one of the city blanketed at night.

I don't think I could drive into a fog bank that thick on a narrow bridge like that last one. But I think I'd rather have fog than wind--we crossed the Mackinac Bridge in MI on a very windy day...sorta harrowing...

Beautiful pictures! The bridge shot is much like what it was here for a few days - not fun to drive in for sure!

I get kinda freaked out on bridges.....I wonder how is the air quality in the city under all of that fog?
Great pics :)

Those are great pics aren't they. Saw them on the news the other day. The last one is kinda spooky looking. Yeah we do get fog for sure. Oh and I don't like bridges at the best of times and when you're sitting on them and they're shaking - ugh - get me outta there...

What's really strange is that we have all this fog and it's still below zero. There's a lot of black ice and the snow has stuck around for soooo long.

Interesting . . . . the second and third one are entered in an impromptu competition at a hockey website I frequent.

Rick - what kinda competition?

It's something we should do on this board.

On the off-topic board of the hockey site, submissions are invited for a particular theme.

About a week goes by for submissions in ordinary posts in a designated thread like this, then three finalists which have the most votes are presented for a final vote-off.

The board has a function allowing users to "thank" a particular poster for a photo, which is how voting occurs.

There are no prizes. Only the chance to pick the next theme.

Just thought it was interesting two of the photo's this week for the theme "Low Light Photography" were in this thread as well.

I should add I'm "frequenting" that particular site very "infrequently" these days. Just don't have the time for it.
