Food/Eating

Hi, I have a new 3 month old small breed puppy. Chihuahua/Shih Tzu mix. I have never had a small breed dog so not too sure. She is 7 pounds and eats three times a day. The bad say 3/4 cup to 1 cup so I divide that by 3. She gobbles it up within 10secs or so. The kibble is small of course and I guess good quality food we did not cheap out on the cost. She is still hungry do I give her more than what the bag says and then how much. I heard putting a ball in the food may slow her down or to put a bit in and then some more to slow her down, but really 1/4 cup is not a lot of kibble to only put a bit in. Is this something I should try?
Thanks for your help
Lisa

I have 3 Shih Tzu's and they are little pigs. They swallow their food whole, so I put hot water in it to soak, cool and mash. Just expect a pee after it eats...
