Hello all

Just wanted to say hello to all the other animal lovers.

I registered under binkybuff, but usually go by binky. and am proudly a Canadian. :ca:

I have 2 rescued animals, that I love dearly.
Nikki is a mini Schnauzer, all black, 12 years old now, and from the story I got, she had a real rough start in life, and is now retired from breeding, and I have her. She is my companion, and I am able to bring her to work with me most days.

Koko is a Tortie, mostly black, about 6 years old, and she was rescued from one of the local SPCA's. She is a character, loves to talk with me, and cuddle.

However, a loud bang will make both of them scatter. I am wondering what happened in their early life.

Both Koko and Nikki were adopted after I lost my Pretzel (cat) :rip: and Marty (dog) :rip: in 2005, within about 6 weeks of each other. Both Pretzel and Marty were rescue animals as well.

Koko is a totally indoors cat, which I firmly believe in. Keeps them a whole lot safer and healthier.

Have had other animals all my adult life, and really can't see living without one.

I am a retired certified dog groomer, having my own business for over 10 years, having to give it up after an accident and injuries to my back.

Enough about me for now,
take care all

Welcome to the board, binky! I hope you're spending some time picking out the pictures of your furbabies you want to share with us, because we can be unmerciful in bugging you for pics :o (In other words, please don't make us beg!)

Thanks for the welcome, however, I am not sure about the pictures, I don't have a scanner, and the pictures I do have aren't that good.

It may take me some time to get some set up.

take care

thanks, yes Koko has the Tortie-tudes. She is constantly meowing at me, and is very demanding to have a brush first thing EVERY morning. Have to allow 5 min for that all the time. She actually uses the meow that sounds like Momma when she is looking for me, because if I answer she doesn't do it again.

Koko is flighty, if I sneeze or move, she is off my lap like a shot.

One thing I have noticed, she likes toilet paper, and paper towels, will actually eat a hole in the roll. I have to hide both, does anyone have any ideas why. She will also sometimes, lick at a magazine.

Nikki is very laid back, although, if Koko is giving me a "bath" she watches very closely, to see that she doesn't hurt me. Koko will wash my arms and legs when I change after getting home from work.

take care
