sores on cats neck

My cat has been scratching alot, and he has developed some sores around his neck. I've looked to see if he has flees, and I never see any, what could this be and how do I get it to GO AWAY? :confused:

It could be a number of things. You need to have your vet take a look so that it can be treated properly.

Is your cat an outdoor pet? If you live somewhere with a lot of flies, that could be it. If that's the case, your cat will need medication from the vet, but at least it isn't serious.

Please take your kitty to the vet, a general visit coud cost about 50 bucks, it's better than your kitty getting an infection due to scratching constantly.
