She's really loved laying on the bookshelf with the garland. LOL, I wonder if she'll still feel the same way about the bookshelf when the decorations come down.

Yes, I noticed that. :thumbs up I always get it even though the camera has the "red eye" feature enabled. :shrug:

Turning off the flash really helped. The last two I took with my cell phone. I love those Christmas lights anyway, they give off a surprising amount of light. That's mainly what I have my place lit up with.

I keep going back and looking at Oksana's pics......the third one is my favourite. :cloud9:

I might figure something out with lights minus the garland. She seems to like laying up there, and I do like the extra light.

The first year I had the fireplace mantle I put a string of white lights in the back against the wall with some garland. I, too, like the light so I leave them there all year. Because the seats are below the mantle you can't see the string of lights but enjoy the effect. Perhaps you could try something similar :shrug:

Thanks, these are becoming some of my favorite pictures of her.

I'm going to see if I can make a little area for her to sit on. I want to keep the lights up, so I'll fiure out how to keep them there, but I also have stuff I want to have up there. Maybe I'll stack books up there and put the regular decorative stuff in the shelves.
