Still not 100% on the name, LOL, but Jelly is home!!!!! I don't have very good pics yet, I haven't had time, LOL! But I'll try to get better ones for you soon!

In the meantime, here are some from today!

Walked in the door for P&B's first sniff! :)

All was calm, so I let her out. :)

She is very timid and nervous. Has lived her entire life in a barn and doesn't know how to be a dog. So sad! She gets overwhelmed by P&B and comes up me and puts her paws on my leg, begging to be picked up. SOOO cute!!!!
http://i239.photobucket.com/albums/ff58/smileysteph14/Jelly/Jelly019.jpg

She LOVES to be held and wants to snuggle all the time. She shakes when you put her on the ground and begs to be picked right back up again. Poor thing. So I'm trying to comfort her without over-babying her so she will learn. P&B will be good teachers for her! She doesn't seem to know what toys are and doesn't know how to play. Belle keeps trying to get her to play and she runs to me to try to hide! The first time P&B were playing bitey face, she shook so hard! But the second time, she just watched and didn't shake, so I think we'll see big improvements in the next few weeks as she learns how to be a doggie.

She is very stinky too and her legs are tinted yellow, typical of dogs stuck in a cage. So sad! So I gave her a good scrubbing. She hated it, LOL! She still smells, so it will take a while to get her fur in better condition. But even one bath really helped, so that's good. :)

I got her one sweater because it's so cold and she's not used to it. It's a little big! :)

She's sleeping in the kennel now while I give P&B a break. :)

Petey is a total champ; I'm so proud of him! Belle is a little jealous when I hold her, but not too bad. She doesn't get why she won't play and keeps trying to engage her, so hopefully Jelly will figure it out soon.

I think our biggest challenge is going to be potty training in the snow. She refuses to go outside. Well, she's only pottied once so far since we got home and that was right on the potty pad. So she seems to be trained to potty pads, but I don't want to use them in the house, except for in the crate while I'm at work until she's old enough to hold it and understands not to go in the crate. If anyone has any advice on how to train dogs that no longer have the instinct to not go in a crate, it would be much appreciated! For now, I just keep taking her outside every hour on the hour and hopefully she'll go one of these times! So far, she just shivers and shakes and paws at me to pick her up. Not a fan of the snow obviously. Tonight's a bad night though, it's VERY cold and snowing with a very bitter, cutting wind. So I might just give up for tonight and hope for a little bit better weather in the morning. Not sure what to do about that!

OMG!!! She is soo sweet! All I would do is hold her and snuggle. She has not had a great start to her life but now she is with the best  possible!! I am sure it won't take long before she is out there with Petey and Belle having a grand time!!
I still like Jill....

What a sweetie :cloud9:

For sure shovel out a little potty/poopie spot for her to get to in the yard. Then it's just consistency and patience like it would be for any pup. Macie had some trouble, too--but she was 18 months old and caught on pretty quick. :fingerscr that little Jelly does, too.

Dang, she's cute!!!! :flirt:

And Petey and Belle giving the little darling kissies! :cloud9:

So precious :cloud9:.

You're doing right by going out every hour with her. Do Petey and Belle go with you too? You might want to shovel a little area nearby the door where she doesn't have to trudge through any snow. You could also put the pee pad she's already used out there too. :goodvibes: she'll get the hang of it in time when she's settled and less anxious.

Congratulations :grouphug:.

aww! I was so excited to see that you posted pics... she is absolutely adorable! I too would have a hard time not holding her and comforting her when she is scared and anxious. I am sure she will settle in within a few days. And way to go Petey and Belle, being so welcoming to little Jelly! (I like Jill too )
Congrats again, and thank you for rescuing  I can't wait to hear how the next few days go!! :cloud9:

I think I mentioned this before, but I want your little black and white doggy!!! A boston terrier right? Are they go with kitties? I won't be 18 for another few months, but I'm already picking out the doggy I want now  mwahahhaaha. My mom said I have to wait until all my cats die before I can get a dog (lovely huh?) :p but your doggy is so cute and the puppy is so cute too!!! and that sort of dog would fit in with my kitties (black and white and tuxedo looking).

Thanks guys!!!! I really appreciate the advice too!!!!

Thanks Kathryn!!! Belle is a Boston Terrier. GREAT dogs!!! I just love them! The new pup is actually a Boston Terrier as well, she is what is known as a red Boston. Boston standard only allows for Black and White or brindle/white, but once in a while, you get a red one that is born. And then some unscrupulous breeders will breed two reds together and sell the litter as "rare." So never buy a red Boston! But once in a while you can find one in rescue. They sure are cute, regardless! But yeah, I love the black and white ones the best though! :)

Jelly is coming out of her shell more and more! It's great! I am a little concerned though as she's growled at Belle twice. Belle brought her a toy and set it down in front of her. She actually chewed on one end a tiny bit--YAY!!!!--but when Belle then picked up the other end to try to play tug, her favorite game, Jelly growled at her. It wasn't a play growl, but a warning growl. Belle just walked away. She tried coming back a moment later, but Jelly growled at her again. She doesn't do that to Petey, probably because he's so big, but twice to Belle so far. I need to get her into training class right away!

We just had an awesome three way round of bitey face!!! And then Petey pooped out, LOL, and it was just Belle and Jelly and then Belle brought a tennis ball into it and this time they played perfectly!!! Just play growling and happy body postures! YAY!!! She didn't know what to do with the tennis ball, poor thing, but she loves to run around and play apparently! So cute! And then she circled and squatted so I grabbed her quick and ran her out to a potty pad in the garage (it's now -15 degrees outside...too dangerous for potty training outside tonight) and she had a good poop and pee and now we're all in bed for the night. That was awesome to see! I didn't get pics of that part as it was in the living room and there's no overhead lighting in there. I did get a few pics of them on the bed right before the bitey face started. I'm downloading those now. Hopefully a few turned out at least!

What a little angel! That look on her face in the first pictures of the three of them is precious.

How sad that she doesn't know what it is to play or what toys are. But she'll soon enough know so that's a happy thought.

Maybe you should get her some footies? Perhaps with her fee warm she might not object too much to going outside.

Awwwwwwwws:lovestruck::lovestruck::lovestruck:

We had the same problem with Jaida when we got her in the middle of February. At 12 weeks old she'd never been outdoors and had only ever pooped/peed inside a house. On the floor. She would freeze and hunker down and shiver when we brought her outside, wouldn't take so much as a step outside, let alone go potty. What saved us? We used the other dog, Gracie. Bring out your other two when it's her potty time. Let THEM show her how to "go" outside, and also that outside is a fun place (play, balls, toys etc.). It got Jaida out of her shell in a few days, and housetraining was a breeze after that. Now she loves snow more than anything else in the world!
