Shooting the Snow

In order to prevent the snow in shots from looking grey, it's a good idea to try overexposing by one
or two stops. As an example, if the camera's exposure meter reads F16, try F11 or F8. The snow will
look nice and white and your subject will not appear dark!

Another good way to correct greyish snow is to shoot in RAW mode and make adjustments when processing
the photos.

good points, except not all use SLR's :cool:

the simple point and shoot automatics will just underexpose due to the brightness of the snow. Unless you know how to use the manual setting, photo editing is your best bet to have white snow :thumbs up

I will have to try and remember that.just getting back into using the camera again.

There's also an 'exposure compensation' button on various point-and-shoot cameras. This is the adjustment tool with the +/-
