:( Beautiful Grey/black tabby X wearing a flea collar. Extremely affectionate and cuddly. Definitely was a house cat. Would love to keep her but I have allergies and my two dogs want to make a chew toy out of her!!! Please contact me at email@example.com if this is your cat.

Awww, she's beautiful, what a sad face....I take it you are in Quebec, please don't hand him over to Humane Society where he will be killed. There are other ways, put up posters, call around to see if someone reported her missing.
Please feed her in the meantime and give her water,if she's so sweet, someone is obviously missing her,I hope!
There are links you can go to,but I don't know, maybe someone else does,so please check back!!

How did you find him? Did he just show up and hang around? Poor guy!

Here's a couple more sites you may want to post on. A picture REALLY helps. I hope that someone out there is looking for her but given the time of year (July) someone may simply have dumped her. Fingers crossed.

Yes, it did just show up on my deck. Unfortunately, in Montreal, some people "forget" to bring their pets when they move. We got my 10year old Golden at the SPCA half an hour before they put her down because her family did not want her anymore and we found our little Wheathen X roaming the streets last summer and no one was looking for him either. My gut tells me that this poor animal has been abandoned too but I just want to give the owners a chance. Fact is, I will have to find someone to adopt it because I do have allergies and the dogs think it is prey. I will leave the listing one more week as is and then I will look for someone to adopt. I do not want to go to the SPCA because it does not stand a chance and that would break my heart. If you know of anyone who could/would adopt, contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org. This is a wonderful animal who does not deserve to be living like this. It deserves to have access to a home and loving arms. HELP!!!

Well, a beautiful woman who is recently divorced who had found a stray last week that was claimed has just left with my beautiful little orphan and we both had tears in our eyes. It would seem that while I was praying for someone to take Minmin this lady was praying for a cat too. It took five hours from the time she called me to the time she picked it up. She seemed so genuinely happy and my little friend will finally get to sleep in a house tonight for the first time in a month. Something tells me that it will be kinda spoiled too!!!! Thanks for all the prayers and good thoughts.

The number of animals dumped in Montreal during this year's moving season is shameful and unbelievable.
July 28th, 2004, 12:02 PM
I've seen references to the "moving season" before. What's the situation?
July 29th, 2004, 12:21 AM
"Moving Day" is July 1 in Montreal and because of the low of vacancy rate for appartments in Montreal if/when people have to move and there is a "No Pets" clause in the new lease they simply move and leave their animal behind. By mid June the SPCA and shelters are to capacity and instead of being responsible and finding homes for the "pets" they either leave them tied up in empty appartment or set them loose. It is disgusting and there is nothing to do about it. The SPCA only keeps them a few days and only if there is absolutely nothing wrong with them otherwise they euthanize them. As I said, both my dogs were left behind because of moves and I have no doubt that this cat was too. And yes, glasslass, the lady is going to keep in touch. It poured rain on Tuesday night and I was so happy that my little friend was safe and warm indoors!
