Cats somehow always land on their feet.
Earlier this week, a Newmarket cat fell 17 storeys and escaped with minor burises and suffered dental damage.
“This is a very unusual story and a remarkable cat,” said Hugh Coghill, Ontario SPCA Chief Inspector. “In my 30 years of service, I have never heard of a cat falling this far and surviving.”
The cat’s owners moved out of the apartment building and left the lucky feline behind.
The Ontario SPCA is in the process of contacting the owners.
After required dental surgery, the cat is recovering under the care of the Ontario SPCA.
If you have any information on this case, contact the Ontario SPCA Provincial Office at 1-888-668-7722 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
