Greetings,
I have been having difficulty finding an Canadian Online Pharmacy that ships to Canada. :ca: Most of them all feed back to one Pharmacy in Surrey, BC which ships exclusively into U.S.

I am have been trying to purchase Azodyl online. This is recommended on this site, but can be quite expensive. The Vet at the U of Saskatchewan Vet College gave us the first bottle of 60 capsules free, but at 3 capsules a day is fast running out.

Is there anyone who can help me?

God Bless!

Not sure of any specifically Canadian sources for Azodyl, but here is a decent site in the US that only charges $3 for shipping to Canada: http://www.cattyvet.builderspot.com/catalog/item/5138600/5141423.htm

You could try http://www.petpharm.org. This is a real pharmacy located in Toronto and they dispense pet medications as well and will ship. You would probably have to call them to see if they dispense this particular drug.

What is it used for?

Kidney disease. http://www.vetoquinolusa.com/pages/pro_azodyl.html

I didn't realize it was non-prescription, in which case, there is a great place to get this in the US, and they ship to Canada. I have used these people before and a lot of my doggie friends in the US get their meds (such as Glyco-flex etc.) from this place and it is reputable, and the prices almost always beat anywhere else... It's called Entirely Pets.

Their website is http://www.entirelypets.com/

I've looked for Azodyl on their site and they will sell in bulk (6-bottle packs).

I use PetPharm myself but they now have the following posted on their website:
Out of Province Customers
Please note that prescription medications can only be shipped within the province of Ontario. By law we are not allowed to ship prescription products to other provinces. OTC products can be shipped to other provinces.

If they can't then I wonder who can. Just a caveat to check out the site you are dealing with. If they claim to be able to ship something that other sites say they cannot then you'd be wise to see if it is genuine product and not a knock-off. Most companies that manufacture drugs have a site where you can see the difference between genuine and black market material.

Additional note: In the U.S. I found that drug manufacturers will not back up any of their product if it is not purchased through a Vet. That is not the case in Canada where you may buy from a pharmacy such as PetPharm.org, with prescription, and still expect the company to back up the product the same as it does for your own human prescriptions. Best to check out with the individual companies, and obviously this applies to prescription items.

Some info on Azodyl from felinecrf.org including, at the end, several sources, at least one of which is said to ship to Canada can be found here (http://felinecrf.org/treatments.htm#azodyl).

Two notes on Azodyl: One, this is not a prescription drug; Two, the need for cold temperature-controlled/ensured shipping.

This person also in Canada is in a similar bind. Might want to email and see if they have gotten anywhere in their search for it.
