Many thanks, Growler, Rainbow and AmericanBullMum:) It is beautiful up there and the Loch was like a sheet of glass!! Loki had a great time as well:)

The castles up here are lovely - and that one on the Loch was spooky looking when we first arrived there as the Scotch mist was still around it!! It cleared pretty quickly though!!

Many thanks for your lovely comments and I will pass them onto my friend who takes the pics:)

Take care:)

Aw many thanks, Love4himies and will pass on your lovely comments to my friend who takes them:)

I am not sure how to get on to the castle as it is in the loch - like an island but I think there may be a boat that someone would be able to take you on to the wee island it sits on. I don't know how safe it is either!! Here is a link that tells the story of Kilchurn Castle.

That is a link, giving a bit of the history behind it for you:)

You must come over to Scotland - it is a beautiful country and many lovely lochs as well:)

Again, thank you.

Take care.

Darn, I thought I had posted an answer in here. :o Obviously I hadn't so......

When I started opening these pics the first thing I thought was they would make amazing jigsaw puzzles. Especially the ones with the castle, the ruins, and the trees reflecting in the water so clearly. Wonderful shots! Keep them coming!!!

Many thanks JM - Scotland makes for great piccies!! Wish I could take them like my friend does - mine come out a wee toty bit squinty:)

Sorry, it's taken me a wee while to respond - Loki (my Ute dog) has had more bad fits and was in the hospital, so I wasn't up to much during that time:( Thankfully, she is out of them now - hopefully, for a longer period.

Again, thank you.

Hello Love4Himies:) Yes, her dosage is now 4 Phenobarbs in the morning (they are 30 mg each), still the one Potassium Bromide in the morning, and 4 Phenobarbs in the evening. I also give her a Milk Thistle capsule to counteract any liver damage she may suffer!! From the Sunday at 4 pm when she started fitting until the Monday at 8 pm, she took a total of 35 fits. Loki's fits are the grand mal ones. Bad breeding caused that!! The breeder of her grandparents bred from an epileptic dog and knew the dog had epilepsy. Now I have heard that her mother, who the breeder told me had been PTS because she and Loki's father had eaten some chicken and it had caught round their gullets and the vet had to put the mother to sleep. I saw the father and he did have a huge scar from his throat to his bits. He had to be PTS 2 weeks after I got Loki home. Now I have heard via one of Loki's litter sister's owner, that the mother had to be PTS because of epilepsy!! Yet the breeder came up and sat in my house with her husband and denied all knowledge of any epilepsy in Loki's family!! The following month, the breeder stopped breeding them!!

It is a curse to see beautiful dogs take those cursed fits.

I had to get Loki into hospital on the Monday - the emergency vets at the PDSA (People's Dispensary for Sick Animals) - in Glasgow and had to get my friend to take her. We went back for her at 8 am next morning to take her to my vet's own hospital at Bridge of Weir -just two villages away from where I live. She was there a day and a half. In total, she suffered about 45. That's the worst she has ever been.

It is heartbreaking to see. However, she is now back to her normal self and is now smelling everything outside again. They lose a lot of their senses as the brain cells died but there are more brain cells to compensate the loss of them. The wanderings wasn't too back either. After fits, they tend to wander about - back and forth.

Many thanks for asking for her:)

Take care.
