I have several animals. Over the last four months, I've noticed that one (of five) of my cats has weepy eyes. One (of two) of my rabbits has a similar problem in one eye. (The rabbit has been to the vet and taken the eye ointment and the oral antibiotic. No difference.)
I notice my cat seems to have flare ups after rains. I understand that conjunctivitis among felines can be very contagious and does not spread to other animal species. Since my other cats have no problem and my rabbit is of another species, I'm wondering if the eye problems can be related to a change in our lawn chemicals or our recent termite treatment. Has anyone ever known of such a connection?
