You have got to be joking! This thread should read URGENT request for any Rescue Groups to assist. This will get more attention.

There is a website called Sled Dog Central where you may be able to post about this. Normally classified ads etc. are not posted in the forums, but perhaps under these circumstanced the administrator would allow it. If you want to look into it and email the admin, here's a link to the forum:

Or, maybe you could even just post a message on there along the lines of "Anyone here from Michigan? (which I know there are) Have you heard about this? Sled dogs to be auctioned off, does anyone know of any rescues in the area?" Or something like that. Maybe that would be indirect enough to not be considered advertising in the talk forum but still get the word out.

Also, I'm not personally aware of any alaskan husky rescues, but there is a malamute rescue I know of that may be able to redirect you, their website is:

They don't look very happy. Especially the Husky/Greyhound X that has Lupus

It's unfortunately not a joke - but from the horse boards it seems that they have dog rescues involved to pull the dogs.

aww I'm not sure why I even looked at the pictures but it broke my heart. Many of those dogs are seniors and they are being auctioned off like a piece of property. Who is going to buy a senior dog that has likely lived outside its whole life, especially that poor guy with Lupus.

All personal Property - including dogs and horses, were sold as one lot and will be staying on the resort as of now.
