I am new on here, but I have a question I hope someone can answer. I have a 6 year old rottie, and she has lost 5 toenails already, and we think she is about to lose more. Can anyone tell why this is happening and if there is anything I can do to help her?

Hi, Tori!

What did the vet say about the nail problem?

I don't have any advice for you, but I do have a suggestion. If you repost your question in the health forum with a descriptive title, more people will see it. There may be other members who have experienced something like what your dog is going through.

I hope she's better soon! :goodvibes:

And welcome to the board! :D

Seems to me that there is a condition (illness/disease) that causes loss of toenails but I can't remember what it is and it would need to be diagnosed by a vet.

It sounds like doggie needs a blood test....unless they are just breaking off from being too long.
