Just watched a movie based on the novel by Jack Ketchum. Its called Red and stars Brian Cox, Tom Sizemore and Robert Englund. Its a story about a mans old faithful dog being brutally slain by a bunch of spoilt teenagers and how he refuses to back down no matter how the system was designed to only give them a slap on the wrist. It had me enthralled from beginnning to end. Great acting, great thriller and loads of tears. It also highlights the sad sad fact that kids can be so cruel - definitely an issue that we have in all our communities no matter where we live in the world. I am sure that animal lovers will love this movie as the light sentences so many offenders get just make us despair. So its great to cheer on the underdog.
