Quick Switch to Orijen

Well, I finally got Buster a bag of Orijen (6 fish) and since he was out of Wellness Fish, I decided to get a bag of that too and gradually do the switch. Well, apparently Buster wants nothing to do with the Wellness anymore and is crying to be fed Orijen!

I read some of the past posts about others who have switched to Orijen and there are comments that say "go cold turkey" and others that say "do the gradual change". Not sure what to do :shrug:

He has been pooping ok since he started the food yesterday, only change is he got up twice in the middle of the night to go outside but I am not sure if that has to do with the bit of Orijen he ate or not???

If I do the cold turkey switch, do you think the local SPCA would take the rest of the Wellness food??? It is not in the bag anymore, I store it in a rubbermaid tub?

i switched from TO - NOW cold turkey with no probs.
not sure on the open food , but i doubt they will take it.

I have done food switches cold with my dogs, no problems ever.
I think it depends greatly on the dog honestly.
When I would try to do gradual they would just pick out what they wanted ( new food)
Now with raw feeding season in full swing here, kibble of any kind is out of the question lol
