... And I had fun trying out my new flash! :D

Recently I've been working a lot, and have been missing out on Cody and Nova's morning antics. They are hilarious to watch, they play for hours until they get too tried, then nap on the couch.

I was talking to her, she can be a good listener, I'd hope so with her big ears :D

I use a Canon EOS Rebel XSi, I shot all these pictures using a fixed 50mm f1.8 lens along with a 380EX Flash. I just recently started to get into using the DSLR, it's awesome! It's been a huge learning curve coming from a point and shoot camera, still tons to learn and experiment with :D

I also love that last pictures - it freaks me out but theres something about it that makes me laugh!

Great photos. What kind of camera do you have? Mine is supposed to be able to take stop action pics but they don't look as crisp as yours.

I have a couple more photos from Sunday, I didn't take as many as I would have liked, but its difficult to walk a dog and take photos at the same time. Our town had the Richmond Hill Pooch Party at the Richmond Green this weekend. We went on Sunday with Nova for a few hours, unfortunately Cody had to stay home because he isn't good around children and this was a family event.

I entered Nova in the trick contest for fun, she got 3rd place, but I personally think she should have gotten 1st  She was the youngest dog in the contest, so I'm not comlpaining! She performed wonderfully for me, and even did her newest trick weaving through my legs while walking perfectly.

But anyway, I did get a couple shots at the Richmond Green. I also discovered Nova is scared of water falls - so I didn't get the shots I had hoped for.

Nova in her crate waiting to leave.

Nice side profile by the waterfalls, distracted her with food temporarily!

Next year I'll have to go on both days, work got in the way this week. But next year I'll have to go alone to get photographs, and get someone else to take pictures of Nova and I when we enter any contests.

Love the pink harness :lovestruck: :D

That's a great shot of her nervous by the waterfall :cloud9:

She seems okay being by the pond so is it just waterfalls or is she nervous around all running water like rivers too?

She loves water hoses, is fine with sprinklers and our little pond in the yard. She's fine with lakes, waves, and the creek at the park. Something about the water falls made her nervous and she wouldn't go near it. I keep wondering if she associates the noise with bathtime or something

could be...do you bathe her in the bathtub or outside?

might be just the noise level too

Could be anything, I usually bathe her in the bathtub since it's easier to keep her in one place there. She HATES baths... cries the whole time. It wouldn't surprise if it was also the noise level, had a thunderstorm today and the thunder was so loud it shook our windows... Nova ran around barking like a mad dog  In any case I'll have to expose her to loud moving water more often, since she will be seeing more of it in the future when we go camping next year.

I used to bathe my dogs outside - so only in summertime & leash them to a fence :D

Good excuse for lots of relaxing hot soak in bubble baths :D just getting the dog used to the running water :D
