Nova's back in action

September 23rd, 2008, 07:29 AM
Nova is very happy - her cone is off, she's recovered from her spay with no problems, and she is now ready to get back into action!

I've started some agility training with her for fun, no jumping or anything yet, but she really enjoys running through the tunnels and walking on the teeter/dogwalk. She likes doing everything in high speed already, lol.

Running through tunnels
Teeter work - she has no fear of it moving.
Introducing her to the weaves, although all she is doing is staring at the treats right now.
Nova grabbing her tug toy. I need a new one, after Sunday its almost in pieces.

What? I'm supposed to play tug with this?
Catch me if you can!
You still can't catch me!
Your two legs are too slow!

Thanks for all the comments, I always love to read them in the morning - gives you a good start for the day! :D

Nova is a tiny girl, pictures are quite deceiving on her size. Last time she was weighed about two weeks ago she was only 20 lbs. Although yesterday when I took her out we met another Border Collie that wasn't that much bigger than her - and it was full grown. It just goes to show that they come in all different sizes, and I can testify to that based on the BCs I know ranging from 28 lbs to 65 lbs full grown.

There are advantages to her being little - like it doesn't hurt when she vaults off my body  And its easier to get her to weave through my legs since she fits! Despite her small size, she is one little fast dog, I've had to change my ball throwing techniques so Cody can get the advantage and have a chance to get it
