The "kids" hanging out

Dracko
September 23rd, 2008, 02:22 AM
I was sitting on my bed doing some computer work and had some company. Here is Ginkgo, Kinsey, Teiya (walking on bed), Smitty on the blanket on the floor (blanket was there cuz Dracko had a bath and I didn't want him to get his bed wet - harder to wash than a blanket) and then Dracko on the floor, too.

Earlier tonight I snapped these. These ones have Mochie in them.

Ginkgo on the pillow. Kinsey on the computer and Mochie on the blanket.

 I can't see anything either.

I don't know what happened, but I can finally see the pictures. Wow, they look fantastic! I don't think I've ever seen all of your kitties! They're beautiful. And they all sort of have the same um...color scheme. :D I love that last picture of Smitty asleep. Cute!

Well, of course they have to match or I'd have to give them up.

Kidding, of course. But you are right and friends of mine have pointed that out. I keep saying I need to get an orange one to spice things up.

OMG Dracko we have something in common - no room on the bed for humans - hence I am single.....but having my fur pack gives me more satisfaction then anything!

Yup, I'd rather be single and have my pets around me all the time than to be with someone who b*tched about them and the hair. My ex (after we moved in together) decided Dracko wouldn't be allowed in the bedroom. It broke my heart. Even after 2 years of being out of that situation I sometimes apologize to Dracko. I can certainly live w/o a man in my life but it would be impossible for me to live w/o my animals. I joke with my friends that I use my 5 cats as "man repellant". Just mention you have 5 cats to any man and watch for "that look" in their eye.:laughing::laughing:

Amen Dracko. If you find a guy who doesn't bat an eyelash at the mere mention of 5 cats, that's a keeper in my book. Or at least, someone worth getting to know better.

I've got a friend who after her BF moved in, she also exiled her dogs to their crates. I feel terrible, because not only do they spend all day in their crates, but all night. They really only have a few hours in the evening outside. And she wonders why the oldest pup has a peeing issue. Um yeah, maybe he's just rebelling against a few changes. :frustrated:

I used to "fake" accidentally falling asleep downstairs so I didn't have to make Dracko be away from me. My ex and I are both Sales Reps so fortunately he was on the road a fair bit and I didn't have to banish Dracko then. As well, I used to take Dracko with me on the raod at times and he'd stay with me in hotel rooms.

When the ex pulled that stunt of believing a dog should be "outside" and not in the bedrooms I knew it was just a matter of time before I was gone. If it was easier to relocate with multiple animals I've have left much sooner.

Dracko, it's hard for me to sleep without at least one of my gang on the bed with me. It really is hard these days to find a place that will allow pets, unless it's your own home. I lucked out big time and hopefully if I'm lucky, my next place will be a place I own, because it gets tiresome having to ask a landlord of they allow pets and how many.

I agree. When my ex and I broke up had I not had any pets (or just a cat or 2) I'd probably just have rented given our real estate market right now. But, that wasn't an option for me. I'm also grateful I don't rent as I would just be too paranoid about a landlord coming in and one of the cats getting out.
