my dog dead 24 hours ago, and I am waiting to bury him. but there seems some blood running out of his nose slowly. is that normal? for some reason, I thought a dead dog would not bleed?

Nasal bleeding after deathpeter song September 19th, 2008, 12:50 AM my dog dead 24 hours ago, and I am waiting to bury him. but there seems some blood running out of his nose slowly. is that normal? for some reason, I thought a dead dog would not bleed? badger September 19th, 2008, 06:25 AM I'm very sorry for your loss. What was the cause of death? I suspect maybe there was a little hemorrhage somewhere - maybe his lungs? - which, with the aid of gravity, made it appear that he was actively bleeding. Poor boy, I hope he didn't suffer. Lucky you to be able to bury him. peter song September 19th, 2008, 08:24 AM it is strange, there are poops coming out today too, is it possible he still alive? julster September 19th, 2008, 08:42 AM If there's any doubt at all in your mind, you may want to TAKE HIM TO A VET. I would think that bowel loss may be normal after death also, but if you're even questioning whether he's dead......jeez! badger September 19th, 2008, 08:50 AM :eek: Ford September 19th, 2008, 09:17 AM This dog needs a vet, now! |
