This is what makes me want to install sprinklers in my house... I'm ALWAYS worrying about this. I used to not be able to leave my house because I was afraid it would burn down and no one would save my pets.

I installed a webcam so I can watch my house from my laptop when I'm away.

unregulated pet rescues or someone hoarding cats.....

they make it sound like they're the same :frustrated: now I don't know her but like many , maybe she was only doing the best she could to save a few.

That's what scares me about apartment living, one careless act by a neighbour or corner-cutting repairs by apt managers.........:sad:

It's pretty easy to call people hoarders when they have so many cats. I wish people would look at the facts before judging. It's so frustrating. At least she was trying.

My biggest fear is fire,I check and double-check every time I leave the house,I have been known to turn back and check the coffee-maker,unsure if I turned it off:shrug:
I even un-plug the Feli-Way diffusers.
Much too often we read about house-fires where the family survived(which is a blessing) but the family cats died:sad:
We can only hope the animals died from the smoke,not the fire:sad

mine too.
back in 2000 we lived in an apt...the :loser: downstairs fell asleep with a pot on the stove , our apt was filled with smoke....the cop thought i was crazy and tried to get me out.....but i was not leaving without felix and ozzy.
