RIP Alex the kitten

I can't stop feeling so bad for little Alex. I had rescued him from outback along with his 4 littermates. I brought them to the shelter and they were placed in foster care.

Last Friday I got some bad news that Alex had tested positive for FeLV and was euthanized because he was very sick. I was talking about this over on my other board, but I really would like to share some pictures from his very short. but hopefully happy little life.

RIP Alex the kitten. :rip: I really wish right now you could be living with a new family and enjoying life. Instead you died before you could even make it to be 6 months old....:cry: I will miss you little guy

I dunno what happened to his brother in the pictures... the grey and white kitten. His name is Allan. If Alex was infected and Allan was sharing a cage with him the whole time... wouldn't Allan be infected?

I really want to know what's going on with the rest of Alex's siblings... but then again I kinda don't :sad:

i know what you mean k is doesnt necessarily mean they othes contracted it but you never know its a sad reality but at least they are looked after humanly

Alex's mom had another litter of kittens in my yard :wall: I tried to trap her to have her FeLV tested... no luck. She got PO'ed and moved the kittens into the woods. Great! So now 5 kittens are on the loose, possibly FeLV infected so yay I am totally screwed! She won't go in the trap and for all I know those 5 little ones are out there dying :sad: This cat is driving me crazy

The rest of the litter got sick, tested + and they were euthanized.
