Foot Numbness

Roger & Corey
August 24th, 2008, 08:35 AM
I have a poodle, Corey, who is 15 years old. I took him to the vet on July 21, 2008, to have his teeth cleaned. When I picked him up his back right foot was bent under and he could not correct it. My first thought was either he was still idled from the anesthesia and unknowingly got his foot caught in a kennel cage (which is where animals are put after a procedure such as this) or this was a side effect of the anesthesia. I have taken him to 3 vets and not 1 is certain of what needs to be done, what caused it, or whether the feeling/use will return. His reg. vet did order him a boot which works good for now. I would like to know if anyone else has a scenario similar to mine. I still have high hopes that he will be ok but would like to hear from others. Thanks, Roger
