Nova and Cody go to the beach

August 13th, 2008, 11:23 PM
It's not very often my dogs get to go swimming - mainly for a lack of a good place close-by. On Wednesday though, we took a family trip up to the Parry Sound area and visited Killbear Provincial Park (one of our favorite places to camp!) I really like their dog beach area, it's quite beautiful and more than enough space to let the dogs run free. Although during peak hours the beach was extremely full, and both my dogs had an overload melt-down.. Nova saw too many children, people, and dogs and got extremely excited/happy, Cody on the other hand, didn't know which child he should bark at.. too many to choose from.

At least Nova had fun and amused everyone on the beach... She just -had- to see what the kids were doing, and destroyed their sand castle in curiosity, jumped over a line of sunbathers (while soaking wet and dripping water), somehow lost me in the crowd and went searching everywhere for me... I think she was the beaches entertainment for the time being.

Anyway, we had a fun day! Went swimming and hiking, had a picnic and BBQ. Somehow the time passed by far too fast.

All great pictures, but that last one has to be my favorite. It looks like she's saying "Come on, it's this way I'll show you."

I wanted to see some of those ones you mentioned. Like jumping over a line of sunbathers soaking wet would have been hilarious! And destroying a sand castle. Oh well, guess we just have to be happy with the great shots you took! :thumbs up :D They are both beautiful!!!

Lol, I wish I had my camera out when she was being silly on the beach, but unfortunately I didn't... Next time I'll keep it glued to me! lol

Aw so cute! It is lovely to see dogs enjoy being in the water - great to see them when they shake themselves dry!! They all obviously had a great time. Beautiful dogs.

Great pics, Killbear Park is a great place, we went there over 30 years ago and loved it. I can't believe my luck today, everything is downloading so fast.
