Can anyone in GTA Help!

I received this today as an urgent appeal. It was passed onto me from a co-worker!

See below:

A sad tale of some puppies that need very special homes. If you can help, contact information is noted.

I am urgently trying to find some foster homes for the litter of five 7
month old Border Collie mixes. They are presently down at Toronto
Animal Services and they are so frightened they are completely shut
down. They have never even had a leash and collar on before. I can
take one or maybe two, but the others are going to be euthanized on
Friday by the shelter as they doing so badly there. I hate to see pups
die just because they were too scared. None of them are showing an
inclination to bite, they are just like sacks of wet cement. Often all
it takes is some peace and quiet, patience, lots of time, and one-on-
one bonding to turn them around. I've done it before. But I just
can't do five at once!

If you know of anyone who might be interested in helping to save these
poor souls, please have them contact me at luan@ils.net

Thanks
Luan
Southern Ontario Border Collie Rescue

This is all I have for info.......
Say lots of prayers!

Winston...I was looking for it but it's not there anymore. It was a blog in an online magazine of some sort. Someone commented about the video (not in a good way) so that's probably why it's not listed anymore.

Anyone contacted Cindy and Chris at BCRO? http://www.bordercollierescueont.com/

Sadly it's a bad time.. The Agility Association of Canada's Nationals are 2 weekends from now and people are already leaving for NB.. So foster homes I'm sure are a little more strained than usual...

oh doG... this just makes me want to ball my eyes.

I really wish I could take one in, but the short notice is a huge issue for me. I really hope they all have foster homes by now! sending prayers...

Thanks Spatx! I think what they really need is a committment of a foster home for now! They need some TLC and a patient loving person to teach them how to a dog! I dont think they would put them down if someone needed some time but I dont know for sure to be honest! This was sent to me in any effort to get help.

Everyone pls say a special little prayer tonight! :thumbs up

Well obviously I can't take on any more dogs...but my heart is absolutely breaking for these pups

This reaffirms my belief that I will never, ever stop fostering.

I heard about them last week (unless they are other collies ...) and I'm pretty sure someone from a rescue was taking them but now I don't remember who :wall:

All of these pups have been placed in foster care with different rescues in the Ontario area. They are being rehabilitated and when they are ready will go up for adoption.

So often I hate checking back on posts like this because I am always afraid I will read that no one came forward to help. I don't know why. I don't think I have ever read any different.
I just gotta say the people on this site and the people they know in rescue ROCK!!!!

Such a relief...sounds like these little pups are going to need a lot of love. I'm glad they're getting a chance.
