growler~GateKeeper July 30th, 2008, 04:16 PM So I tried this "Multi-burst" pic function on my camera, which is kinda cool great for action shots it takes 16 frames all in 1 pic. The only thing is the when editing the individual frames the pics are small & a bit too pixelated
So because of aforementioned, I pasted 6 different multi-burst pics into 1 shot & the pixelation (is that even a word ) doesn't show as much being so small :D
here's Canada :ca: first up
growler~GateKeeper July 30th, 2008, 04:18 PM More Canada :ca:
The one single shot I took not multi-burst(ed)
39734
The gives you an idea of the multi-burst function though only half of the frame is here
39735
growler~GateKeeper July 30th, 2008, 04:22 PM Next up was USA :usa:
More Multi burst shots
Love the very last one in this post  unfortunately there was little to no wind the night USA went (that doesn't matter in judging) so much of their fireworks were not seen well as demonstrated in the last shot & some of the following ones
growler~GateKeeper July 30th, 2008, 04:26 PM Still USA :usa:
These shots were kinda funky  streaky lights :D
39739 39740
This shows a full 16 pic frame of multi-burst takes about 30 secs from start to finish notice the colour change from #1 - #16
39741
growler~GateKeeper July 30th, 2008, 04:28 PM Last from USA :usa:
These show the amount of smoke that pretty much stayed in place
phoozles July 30th, 2008, 04:32 PM That's a  function growler - so it merges 16 frames into one?
Beautiful displays!
growler~GateKeeper July 30th, 2008, 04:52 PM That's a  function growler - so it merges 16 frames into one?
Beautiful displays!
The one shot that shows the 16 frames where the ball is turning from orange to green is how it shows up on the computer as a still shot (Paint, IE, Windows Media Player etc). When you see it on the camera & computer using the software from the camera (Sony Cybershot) it plays them kinda like a mini animated frame by frame movie. To edit the multi burst & get the single shots like the first post where the pic is of 6 different ones I used Adobe Photoshop Album to separate each frame then pasted them all into one using Paint :D
hazelrunpack July 30th, 2008, 05:50 PM Oooooooooo!
Aaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh! :cloud9:
That is just too cool!!! I can't believe how much color your camera caught, too--that's difficult against the glare, or so my video camera informed me earlier in the month
Great pictures, growler! :thumbs up
growler~GateKeeper July 30th, 2008, 06:03 PM Thanks :)
I found out you get a better picture if you wait until just after the explosion & flash of light, then you get the proper colour :D
I love the purple one in post #1 not that often you get that colour
hazelrunpack July 30th, 2008, 07:50 PM Some of them even look like UFOs! :o trust madame hazel to recognize the Mother Ship when she sees it!
luckypenny July 30th, 2008, 07:58 PM The dogs thank you for withholding the sound effects, Growler :D .
Fantastic shots! I think the ones in post #5 are my fav. Looks like multiple lightening bolts.

Pit Bull Love August 5th, 2008, 04:15 PM Cool! I've never been to the fireworks out here. I'll have to take the kids one of these times. Grew up going to the ones between Windsor and Detroit every year. We tried to take Daemon to some in the Fraser Valley when he was little and he nearly had a break down! lol

That white daisy with the purple ring around it (China shots) is cool!! And I love all the finale shots! Is there international cooperation in the finale, or does the winner get to handle it? :D

growler~GateKeeper August 5th, 2008, 10:46 PM Is there international cooperation in the finale, or does the winner get to handle it? :D
For the finale night each country has a turn, about 10 mins each that night, then they all go together for the last 10 mins at the end. The individual country nights they have about 30 mins.
hazelrunpack August 5th, 2008, 11:04 PM Thanks for sharing, growler! :thumbs up Even the Sheriff enjoyed the silent fireworks. :dog:
