i want to start feeding my 4 month old bernese mountain dog cross orijen puppy food it has 42% protein per serving and i have heard some people say too much protein in puppies can cause problems as they get older, while others say its not true orijen is supposed to be one of the best dog foods around and the ingredients look great just not sure what to do any reply's would be great thanks.

It's high calcium and phosphorous levels that can cause joint problems in large breeds. Protein is always a good thing, since they were made to eat meat! Orijen makes a Large Breed Puppy food (large breed foods control for calcium and phosphorous levels) that would be a great choice for your Berner pup! :thumbs up

And PLEASE post pictures of your puppy!!! I am personally Berner obsessed and counting the days until I can get one of my own. (you should be able to post message attachments after a few more posts)
