And here's some pics of the 2 pretty gurls.

First the little Filly, not quite cream colored as I thought lol, and now you have to wait a bit for the rest since photobucket has changed their uploader yet again *grumble grumble*

a view of one of Fays scary eyes

July 20th, 2008, 03:17 PM
Aaawww lucky you. :cloud9:

It's rather cool that the mare only shows her paint markings on the off side, looking at her from the other side you'd think she was a chestnut, then turn to the other and "oh, look a paint!".

Excuse the flies, they drive me nuts, I need to go buy a fly mask tomorrow for the poor gurls but look at these eyes!

I love how shes a tricky horse like that with her markings. It makes those eyes stand out even more that shes not overly white.
I went out a while ago and brushed her a bit to scratch some of the itches she has, fed her a treat or two and talked alot with her, shes such a calm horse.

Even trailering them didnt go over to badly. The baby we all lifted in, but Fay just walked straight in there like shes done it a hundred times, ( its her 3rd ever time in a trailer)
I can tell shes going to be one great riding horse one day, shes so trusting of me already. Following me around the pasture, lets me touch her where ever I want and really we have only fully known each other for a couple of hours.

I plan on keeping the filly as well, but alot of that depends on a few things. However if all goes well, I would like to keep them together.

Karma is a beast now, and shes a bit of a .... I cant say the word on here as it is a public family forum lol

They're beautiful. I love the deep rich colour of Faye. Thel little one is adorable. No name for her yet?

July 21st, 2008, 12:41 PM
Aw, her eyes are "scary" only in that horses look so intelligent when they have blue you gotta worry what they might be planning. Blue-eyed dogs always look smart to me, too. :o But I get outsmarted by the brown-eyed variety all the time, too!

She's beautiful, erykah! And the filly is a little doll. :lovestruck: How soon before you can ride Fay? You definitely have to get pictures of your first ride--with little filly trailing behind. :cloud9:

July 21st, 2008, 07:30 PM
No name yet for the little one, my man wants to call her Venna, which I am starting to like.

Hazel, it will be some time until I can ride Fay, she's not anywhere near trained, however she is a very trusting horse with me, so maybe this whole process will go relatively smooth... who knows?

For now though Fay is just going to focus on growing her baby, then its the fun task of weaning and then... the fun can begin!
