My dogbox is almost complete!!!! All that is left to do is clean out a bit of extra straw dust (from the straw breaking down that was in there throughout the racing season) and then give it a complete paint job. My dad had it pulled out of the garage when I came home from work so I figured I'd snap some pics for you guys! With OC and Ronan too of course!
But First! A cute pic of the boys along he trail I take them too for biking, and sometimes sledding in the winter
The boys in the dogbox. The front door has wood over the hole because it was used for storage rather than a dog, we have a metal plate for it though. OC and Ronan are demonstrating how the metal plate can be removed so they can poke their heads out of the hole (its not big enough for them to jump out though).
The whole box
Ronan has always looooooved the dogbox!

OC says "Welcome to my home on wheels!"
I also took this video of OC to send to his breeder. He is offleash in my front yard with just his choker on for ID.
DISCLAIMER: I do not recommend trying this with most Sibes.

 Those smiles are killing me! They look so cute!
That's just a big dog house right? I bet it's pretty comfy in there.

LOL they got pretty excited when i put them in the dogbox. It usually means we are going sledding :P The dogbox is basically 8 insulated crates on a trailer. I can fit 2 sled on the roof of the trailer (3 if I really have to). The individual compartments are bigger on this box than you generally see because my mentor built it to accomodate large Malamutes (which he used to own. Now they have Huskies, but some of their males are still pretty large for the breed). Because of this if you are traveling with 2 smaller Huskies that get along well, you could actually put both in 1 box easily. Many sledders do this for companionship on long travels as well as warmth/comfort.

Great dogbox :highfive: We will be getting pics after it's all painted right? :D Are you going with same colours or have you got something custom in mind?
Great job on OC's recall :thumbs up
The boys are looking great :lovestruck: :lovestruck:
I do remember some nice sunny summer afternoons with the Sibe grrls loose on the front deck/lawn staying within the unfenced front yard. Of course we did have the occasional escape out the door/gate - which you know is much more fun than just sauntering out of the open yard :D

Growler, I will definitly be taking more pics when the dogbox is totally done. The colours will be very similar (blue and black are my racing colours but there was no way I was going to have a black dogbox!) however I might have a mural done on the back of the dogbox.

How about something black as accents on the sides? and a mural on the back :thumbs up

Growler, I have thought about maybe doing that...At least I have black on the trailer part of the dogbox! The mural will depend on whether or not Bailey wants to paint it.
Allymack, thanks! OC never ceases to amaze me!

I think some people paint the dog's names above their compartment but I think that would make me alittle too paranoid about someone targeting a specific dog to nab  Though you could put a nickname or some racing related graphic that goes with the :fingerscr mural like a sled or harness setup, a trail & trees something like that
