How not to photograph a black kitty

We who have black kitties all know it's difficult to get a great pic of their beauties,I think this pic of Chico,shows why:laughing:

I love the pic of Chico!!!! that is chico right, can't tell :D.

lol yeah backlighting black cats are usally not a good idea though it would make an interesting cameo


i figured out a while back black animal equals 1 or 2 more f stops
and a lot of diffused light

Boy, are you ever telling the truth! They really are difficult to get pictures of unless there's plenty of light. But I've gotten some nice silhouettes like this one though.:D

It's actually a very cool pic. But I feel your pain seeing as I have two black dogs - seems my dogs have no faces in pics most of the time.

I do have some good pics of Chico,but mostly outdoor pics,with day-light.
He is not on the keyboard,it's under the desk,but he's close enough to me so he can get lots of cuddles:cat:

He looks the best with green grass as a background,like this..

LP,Chico is complaining wondering what people have against black kitties(not the Forum-members),he thinks he is beautiful,sleek and shiny and very sweet and so do I.
Now,if that white thingy,with the evil eyes(Vinnie)would disappear,life would be perfect,that's what Chico says:laughing:
