I'm always so envious

of your beautiful Canadian landscapes. Last week, I spent a few days in the mountains an hour east of here. It made me remember we have some beautiful spots here in Calif. too!

This is a spot called Kennedy Meadows. It's near Sonora Pass in the Sierra-Nevada range. We went to Pinecrest Lake the following day.

The girls didn't catch any fish, but they had fun. They were a bit ticked off when an older gentleman came along, put in his line, and caught a trout first try.

The haze is from smoke. There are fires all over right now in California. Here in Modesto, the air quality has reached "Hazardous".

I was there with 3 co-workers from the library. The six of us (including the 2 girls) were staying in a cabin nearby. Since I have asthma, I volunteered to stay with the girls while the others went on a rugged hike.
