She (hopefully as long as all goes well) will be bringing home two beautiful cats I found for her on the Petfinder site tonight!! Surprise, they have been given up "due to allergies" and they have made quite the impression on their foster mom!!

She already has two cats so I am looking for some advice as to how to best introduce these ones into the house so that all goes well. The woman at the rescue place recommended that she put them into a room for about a week and then slowly introduce them to each other.

Her oldest cat is really laid-back and likes other cats so likely no problem with him but her youngest is a little skittish, I think she'll take the lead of the oldest cat since she mostly just follows him around all the time anyway but we just want everything to go perfectly!

I can't believe she might be bringing them home tonight!! I'm so excited!!

Wow! That's fantastic!! Do you have the link to the Petfinder listing so we can see them?:)

The rescue lady was right. The new cats must be put into a room of their own. Introductions are so important, and done badly they can mess up the cats' relationship for YEARS!!

Here's a very good article on intros! Let us know how it goes!

Thanks Lucky, you're the best!! I forwarded the link to my mom so she can read it.

The cats still need their vaccinations so it may actually be a few days before my mom can bring them home but she is excited (and a little nervous!!). The most we have ever had is three cats so it'll be a full house!

Here is the link, Daisy and Simba from Toronto.

I'll keep ya posted :)

They are beautiful, poor babies! And declawed, like your mom wanted!! I'm glad to see this organization is insisting they go together.

Tell your mom that time and patience takes care of everything.:)
