Dem bones, dem meaty bones

Ok I've taken everyone's advice and started feeding Scruffy raw beef bones. He loves em, and neither of us has gotten salmonella so it's all good.
A buddy told me, though, to scrape the marrow out before I give them to him as it can make him sick.
Has anyone else run into this? Is this a real issue?
He generally gets neck bones which are not hollow like leg bones and don't seem to have any marrow in them, but it's something I'm concerned about anyway.

Alot of marrow can give your dog the runs. If I were going to give my dogs big bones filled with marrow, I'd probably be inclined to only let them have them for a while or scoop some of the marrow out so they didn't over do it, but if the bones you're feeding aren't causing problems, you're all good I'd think.
